The original Les Arcs resort, a 7-minute funicular ride from Bourg-Saint-Maurice, in the heart of the Paradiski area.
Arc 1600 is the historic heart of Les Arcs: a family-friendly snow front, shops, bars and restaurants, and direct access to the Paradiski area — 425 km of pistes linking Les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry and La Plagne via the Vanoise Express. From the chalet, you can reach the snow front on skis or on foot in 5 minutes.
In summer, the mountain shows a different face: hiking trails from the chalet door, a bike park and mountain-bike trails, flower-filled pastures and old hamlets. The funicular glides down to Bourg-Saint-Maurice in 7 minutes, home to a whitewater rafting base and lively Savoyard markets.

Hiking from the doorstep
Alpine pastures, ridgelines and mountain lakes: the trails start at the chalet, from the Chalets Pointus hamlet all the way up to the summits.
Mountain biking & bike park
The Les Arcs lifts run through the summer for downhill, enduro and cross-country riding across the whole valley.
Whitewater in Bourg-Saint-Maurice
Rafting, canoeing and whitewater swimming on the Isère river, a 7-minute funicular ride away.
Pastures for the whole family
Picnics in flower-filled meadows, marmots, old bread ovens and the fountains of the alpine hamlets.
Getting here
Reaching the chalet is part of the experience: in winter, the final stretch is on foot along a snowy path — bring sturdy footwear and backpacks rather than wheeled suitcases. Your luggage, meanwhile, rides up by snowmobile.
- By train — TGV or night train to Bourg-Saint-Maurice, funicular (7 minutes) up to Les Arcs 1600, then a 10-minute walk.
- By car — park at the Chalets Pointus car park (below the Tommelet drag lift), then walk 8–10 minutes up the path.
- Luggage — brought up by snowmobile on arrival in winter (7–9 am and 5:30–7:30 pm slots, outside piste opening hours) — included in the cleaning package. On the way down, no snowmobile is needed: a few ski runs, or a walk down. In summer, the chalet can be reached by road.
- By plane — fly into Chambéry (1 hr 45), Geneva or Lyon (2 hrs 30), then take the train or a transfer to Bourg-Saint-Maurice.

- Luggage brought up — on arrival, luggage, skis and shopping come up by snowmobile (7–9 am and 5:30–7:30 pm slots). The end-of-stay cleaning fee covers this service.
- Shopping — the shops of Arc 1600 are an 8-minute walk away, the supermarkets of Bourg-Saint-Maurice a 7-minute funicular ride. In winter your shopping can come up with your luggage.
- Lift passes — at the Arc 1600 snow front, 5 minutes from the chalet, or online — the Les Arcs pass, or Paradiski to cross over to La Plagne.
- Equipment hire — the ski shops are at the snow front; the chalet’s heated ski room lets you leave everything to dry on the spot.
- The landmark — the chalet is less than 100 metres from the Chalets Pointus, the most recognisable hamlet in Arc 1600 — the easiest meeting point to give.
- Snowshoeing and walks — the trails start at the chalet door, in the neighbouring forest.
